Patient flow workshop 31st March 2020
The South London Neurosciences Operational Delivery Network (ODN) is a collaborative alliance to drive quality; improve equitable access, clinical outcomes and patient experience across the neurosciences pathway throughout South London, and all the population it serves.
We take a whole system, collaborative approach to ensure the delivery of safe and effective services across patient pathways.
We ensure equitable access through collaborations of teams from different neuroscience disciplines across South England.
We have a strong patient representative group. We work closely with Neurological Alliance to improve patient experience across Neurosciences.
The second patient flow workshop date has been announced following on from the success of the first patient flow workshop in September 2019.
The event will be hosted at Skipton House, NHS England on the 31st March 2020.
A one-day event bringing together Colleagues, Patient Groups, Clinical Leaders, Managers, Commissioners and all stakeholders involved in Neurosciences from across South London and it’s catchment area.
The day will be an opportunity to discuss our collective priorities and opportunities for improvements in Neurosciences. There will be some presentations on the Neurosciences ODN and from NHSE Programmes in Neurosciences as well as patient stories to set the scene for future developments as well as workshops focussing on the priorities of the ODN workstreams.
The clinical workstreams that have been prioritised for the first year of the ODN are Neurorehabilitation, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Spine and Functional Neurological Disorders - join us in our disussion in improving our services together! Look out and sign-up for our workshops.
Colleagues from the ODN and King's Health Partners welcomed patients and carer to an interactive workshop to discuss different aspects of their care, ranging from hospital admission to discharging and aftercare in the community. We worked together in mixed groups to brainstorm ideas to improving the patient journey.
The ODN hosted a workshop which welcomed colleagues from St George's and King's College Hospitals, and many from hospitals in the South of England to improving one of the most challenging aspects of the patient care - the logistics of repatriation.
